Is axe throwing a good first date?
Yes, especially if you don’t want the whole night to depend on conversation. There’s something to learn, something to laugh about and an easy competition built into the hour. No two-hour face-to-face where every silence counts. You learn the same motion at the same time, miss the same targets, and the first stuck axe gives everybody something to laugh about. The coach is there, which takes away the pressure of having to “host” the evening.
It lasts an hour, which is the right length: long enough to relax, not long enough to settle into an awkward moment. Afterwards, the arcade lounge is there to finish the night, and the neighbourhood is full of good spots a short walk away.

Can we book for just two?
Yes. 2 people is the minimum, and it’s a completely normal booking here.
Is it a good first date?
Often, yes: there’s something to do, something to learn and a reason to laugh, which takes a lot of the pressure off.
Is there somewhere to stay after?
There’s an arcade lounge and tables, and plenty of couples throw for an hour and then hang around. Rage’s new kitchen and bar are coming soon.
Do we need to be fit?
No. It’s technique, not strength.
Do we need experience?
None. The session opens with full training and the coach stays with your group. Most guests stick their first axe within ten minutes.
What should we wear?
Closed-toe shoes, no heels or platforms. It’s the one requirement and it applies to everyone, including spectators who come near the lanes.
